Night Walker

Night Walker

Night Walker

Wandering these sidewalks of filth and crime

Turning tricks for another hit of euphoria

Dropping one designer pump on the corner of Ponce

The other under a stranger’s front porch

Beside with your car keys

Squandering your life for another

Shot of mind-bending heaven

Shards of glass cut your delicate soft feet

Leaving red bloody trails and clues

But your Master had

His own designs for your life

Plans to prosper you, to heal

Your wounds and heartaches

Using your brokenness

To relieve the pain of others

You are a golden seraph with

Long flowing locks of flaxen to many

Bringing streams of lightness

Into rooms of darkness

Invisible clouds of peace embrace and protect you

Your sweet angelic voice instantly lifts the hearts

Of the hopeless dragged in from these lonely streets

Only divine mercy has saved you from yourself

With one magical step and eleven others

You stand as a pillar of strength and

Humility to serve your Master

Many lives night after night you will save

Dropping one designer pump on the corner of Ponce De Leon. Squandering your life for another while leaving footprints of red bloody trails and clues. Your master has plans to prosper you by using your brokenness to ease the pain of others. You bring streams of lightness into the rooms. Divine mercy has saved you from yourself so you can save others night after night.
I think perhaps this speaks of someone who has walked down some very dark paths and returned to the light whole and able to share and in turn help others find the light by doing so........Beautiful piece Marie

Oh baby its a wild world and a sad one
Through even the darkest night there exists a candles light!! Bugger someone's blown out the light now is the time to take fright.

Sorry Marie. I did enjoy your poem :0)

Very real while maintaining a sort of abstract atmosphere. I felt myself wandering through a circus city and suddenly feeling redeemed of all my past mistakes. Dark and wispy and fun.

This is what it's all about! Redemption is worth the high price of admission. Yes, life is worth the trudge!
Astonishing, Beautiful!
