Snow Cone

Snow Cone

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A summer poem

"

Snow Cone

Lime green, sweet snow cone

Your tangy taste takes me home

Back to the days when I was so carefree

To jump in the pool after your mind numbing freeze

You bring me pleasure

You make me smile

One taste of you

 Takes me a million miles

You leave me with a fluorescent grin

You make me feel young again

Back when life was still simple. A truly fun summer poem.

This poem captured those simple pleasures of life....
Happiness should always be this easy to find.

I like how the structure and color of this poem represent the snow cone itself. Figurative language was interesting here: hyperbole (stanza three). As a next step, I would look into combining certain parts: stanza two-- mind numbing --> mind-numbing. You would want to hyphenate them to prevent separation of one idea. Thanks for sharing this!
