Snow Cone

Snow Cone

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A summer poem

"

Snow Cone

Lime green, sweet snow cone

Your tangy taste takes me home

Back to the days when I was so carefree

To jump in the pool after your mind numbing freeze

You bring me pleasure

You make me smile

One taste of you

 Takes me a million miles

You leave me with a fluorescent grin

You make me feel young again

Lovely. Brings back memories for sure, the kind where you could run outside for hours in bare feet and burn yourself severely on metal playground equipment. Memories for sure.

Awww those were the days, young, carefree, and eating those snow cones.
Loved this piece, made my warm day feel a little cooler.

Snow cones are wonderful on a warm day and remind me of the county fair. Thank you for such a great memory. Keep writing.
