FAME

FAME

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem about fame.

"

FAME

Fame how hard it is to reach

Lame is what it seems to teach

Remains of what your life needs

Tames your thirst to bleed

Flames the desires that

 You used to dream

Fame is just a

Tall ugly weed

Love this and it is so true 'Tall ugly weed' Sums fame up in one just because of how it turns people into things they never where or wanted to really be.Fab write, keep it up :)

Miley Cyrus. the Olsen twins.
Who else.. Hmm.. Justin Beiber's next.

If I were to ever be famous.
I promise you now I will never
end up like all of the others.
I would continue to live my life the
way I do, because I can never forget
where I came from. What I've went through.
And who I've met.
So no amount of money could ever change the person
I am. No person, can change the person I am. :]

"Tall ugly weed," great way to refer to anything, and I think fame fills out that form the best. Excellent write, really creative poem! Rhymes are perfect.

I agree with the last two lines. Many famous people are wierd. They do crazy things and expect to be treated differently.

Another weed write! Omygosh you're on a roll my friend. "Fame", except for a choosen few in their choosen field is fleeting. and soon those who crowd the field are winnowed out leaving only the greatest whose fame and whose great deeds and dedication to their ideals echo through the ages. I enjoyed the read. It may be that I am mellowing It wasn't too long ago that I too was a cynic. I still am in some things.
