My Cup of Joy

By chance we met one sunny day

Our fate set into motion

Your affections lifted me up to soar

High above all others

How exhilarating it was

To feel the refreshing

Winds of Spring rush over me

As I rested in your

Arms of steel

Your source of endless

Love gave me the courage

To fly farther than

I had ever flown before

I reached for the

Stars and caught them

I circled the moon

With moonbeam thoughts of you

How was I to know that

You were a mere mortal

That your love had

Its carnal limitations

That I could never meet

Your hungry eyes would soon seek the

Desire and validation of another

When I needed my strength the most

I was broken

At the time when I should

Have been driven and focused

I faltered with my shame

And scattered Thoughts

But every need I had was somehow met

My wounds were dressed

My plate filled daily

This is when the struggle of my life began

The time my life got very interesting

Picking up the fragmented pieces

Of my life again

Rebuilding when you walked away

This is the type of glory that outweighs

All others because it’s the mighty force

Of eternal strength that

Carried me through this time

With this type of mysterious power

Who knows where I’ll go next

Now that my cup of joy is full

When love turns to something dark and wounds, leaving the wounded person broken in may ways that hopefully they can heal from and soar once more. This is excellent!

First of all I loved picture and the layout, very beautiful
I also think the story in the poem is wonderful; the description and expressions
the flow of lines and emotions, the powerful start and ending
everything was spectacular
well-done.

It's about Duct Tape isnt it, i mean thats the force isnt it, it has a dark side and a light side and holds things together :O)

OK the poem is beautifully addressed, it shows how some people can rise above their own distress, and build a new life even though their heart is bleeding, the poem is really beautiful coming from your heart

This story is absolutely beautiful. My favorite part about it is how you
show those people who give up on life after a breakup that there is a
road of discovery that lies ahead. Very inspirational.

I love how it goes! I think you can add more or not, its still wonderful to me! It had kept readers in attention in the very first stanza, and readers just keeps.... reading on!I love how the emotion goes in this poem, how it bought us surprise and shock when we know the truth... Its really amazing.

Overall, I think its beautiful, strong and amazing. to me, I think it will be col if you stay in the way it is now, maybe expand it or not, but it will be both really amazing!
Nice written!
