First Born

Don’t you want to know me, to understand?

Why do you keep pushing me to a distant land?

Don’t you know my heart is soft?

Just a smile and a hug from you, and it would lift off.

I’m made of flesh, bone and water

Don’t you remember me? I’m your first born daughter.

Love the way you can write a poem with so few words and build it up to a strong powerful meaning!

I was the only child and never experienced this but heard others talk about it. Very strong poem, to the point with great points. I wonder if parents know their first born can feel this way. Great writing.

Wonderful, a very strong piece indeed, I loved it. And that last part was just stunning, rendering one speechless in fact. Great job, keep it up~
