Forever Good-bye

He held me closely

In the gentle rain

 

His blue eyes poured

Love into mine

 

His warm sweet lips

Kissed me so softly

 

As the spring rain trickled down

Our passion rose

 

Without words but a warm embrace,

He said good-bye before I boarded the train

 

We knew our lips

Would never touch again

i hate goodbyes and i'm not good at them. This line really hit me on a personal level and you've achieved a lot with this piece. I have nothing negative to say about it- it has a streamlined (almost lubricated flow), a flawless structure and robust emotion about it. You picked all the right words and said them. Great poem- intense is what it is.
