January's GaleA Poem by Marie HarrisonA winter poem
January’s Gale Stray winter leaves On the trees Whisper as they Blow in the breeze Don’t leave Please, don’t leave! As January’s Gale groans Her hollow moan The witch’s lone Black cat scatters As I travel home While the Sun’s Descent begins She nods at me, she grins For she’ll lead my whipped body To my road’s end © 2011 Marie HarrisonAuthor's Note
