Budtime Blossoms

Floral curtains flutter in spring’s fresh breeze

Sleepy green turtle slowly rushes by

Mockingbirds love songs rustles trees fresh leaves

Bumble bees buzz by to try honey pie

White fluffy puppies frolic in brown mud

Spotted fawn sneak to eat garden’s sweet corn

In peace jersey cows doze and chew their cud

Mother hens lay their breakfast eggs for morn

Fuzzy kittens play hockey with beetles

Restless woodpecker steadily batters

Cool babbling creek feeds thirsty weasels

Diamond snake sun basks, resting his rattlers

Nature’s grand commencement of spring has spread

Budtime put blackberry winter to bed

I have never written a sonnet before, and I just search for how to write it, and I can say its beautiful! A Very comforting spring poem, this poem is very peaceful, nice job!

I think you did well. It flows great, the imagery of spring is refreshing to the winter air outside my door. You did put the rhyme into your own form which helped to ease the burden of running it in that of a traditional form. but I don't think that takes anything away from it. Just makes it yours.

Nice Write!

A beautiful sonnet. You took me to a good place. Nothing as calm and peaceful as time with nature and the simple gifts she gives for free. A excellent poem. Thank you.
