Pretty Little Sparrow Warm sunshine casts a bright glow Through red, magenta, gold and orange Autumn leaves Like jewels adorning the outdoor stage Set among the trees Rich fluid tones fill fall’s crisp ginger air, As a sweet sparrow’s melody is sung By a tiny woman dressed in black Her powerful voice lifts tender hearts of all that Crowd around the walls to hear her performance Also to take a peek at this tiny sparrow Behind the voice Her story is filled with drug abuse, Abandonment, torture and sadness, But her story's ending reveals a Miraculous turnaround This hypnotic voice lures you in, But her story tugs at the Strings of your heart Just the sound of her voice Piercing the stagnant air Will lift your soul to soar with the eagles She lifts the spirits of many, Who pay a great penny To see her performance Her talent she cultivated from the Slums on the streets of Paris From the start You'll be fighting the Emotion when you just Listen to her unique story Your face will Glisten from the tears That you've smeared Away from your eye lashes She will enlighten The dark edges of your Cold blooded heart With the sheer Power of her voice That can reach octaves Many fail to reach You'll leave a changed soul In awe and unable to speak for hours She leaves her audience members Different in many ways than You were when you came Amazed, you'll be at what power comes From such a petite woman’s frame But her fame is not just from her voice But more from the glory of her spirit And incredible journey of her life story Be sure to be around, When she comes to Your city or your town Because she will Really astound You with her pounding voice Her Spirit and her talents When she's finished She always leaves You wishing for More of her sweet songs This beautiful little Sparrow with An amazing voice © 2011 Marie HarrisonAuthor's Note
