He’s Got My Back

Away from

You I’ll turn

My foot tracks

 

To free myself

 From your vile attacks

 

I’ll walk away with

Only these rags

On my back

 

Because with

Blessings

From The Lord

There’s nothing

I will lack

 

Right now

It appears

My pot is

Severely cracked

 

But God

Will find

A way

To heal

Even that

 

Because He

Loves me so

He’s got my back

Love this write alot!
So inspiring!

It has been true for me, but no longer. It spok to me of someone walking away from an abusive partner and trusting in God for the future. However, I sense that you were meaning was much wider in scope. So often we get hurt by events/people and feel that we have come away with nothing. Stripped of our identity, our pride, our hope, our dreams.......... This poem addresses all this, Points us to God and encourages us to trust Him because he cares enough to engage in our protection. Good structure too. Nice one Marie.
