My TimeA Poem by Marie HarrisonA poem about life and death.
My Time Many days go by I wish that I could die If only it was my time I wish I may I wish I might Death was the plight I had in my sights Now those Wishes have lifted They drifted Away like a red kite Now I smile happily At my cotton candy life As I peacefully sigh But Cindy’s battle Is about to end I only wish I could send Her the rest of my life In order to keep Hers from ending If I could give what I have left to lend Not that I want My life to end Cindy She’s a mother A wife A sister Someone too special For the world to lose I’m nothing to the wind No one would care if I end If only it was my life to lend Cindy, she’ll leave So much behind It’s such a crime If she’s to die like this If only she could Have more time If only it was my life I’d lend her mine Because my Cousin Cindy Is so kind © 2010 Marie HarrisonAuthor's Note
