This Woman, Mary

All she bore

Never made

Her sore

Her yoke was light

And gave delight

Her beauty shown

As her baby

Took earth’s throne

Left out in the

Cold to give birth

Yet everlasting warmth

Came from her girth

She smiled a thankless job

Yet never frowned when

Her son was mobbed

She was an

Ordinary wife

But she lived an

Extraordinary life

She is

The Virgin

Mary

All she bore never made her sore''' Not sure I agree with that.. before he was born she was told a sword would pierce her heart.. and so it did... for he left home at the age of 30 and she struggled with what he was doing - and then suffered the grief of his crucifixion... but I do agree that she was a normal woman and not some kind of icon she has become...
