Being A Pet Shepherd For ChristmasA Poem by Marie HarrisonA love for animals Christmas poem.
Being A Pet Shepherd For Christmas Every year I wish I could be home for Christmas This will be a full dozen for me Time spent apart from my Family for Christmas While being a pet shepherd For people who are away For the holidays It will be my first Christmas To spend completely alone I fully accept my obligations And feel blessed to have A warm home to keep My own dogs in My only wish would be to see My own family for the holidays I don't need any presents Their smiling faces and Warm hugs would be More than enough For me But for now I must help other people care For their pets, so they will enjoy Their time spending the holidays With their own families It's the job God's given me To do this year too Maybe, next year will be very different for me I have a strong feeling he has other plans for me Changes could be coming very soon But for now, I won't be home for the holidays again I'll be alone instead, feeding Christmas dinner to my Furry friends with four paws and happy tails It's the pet shepherd job That God has blessed me With this year
