Tree

Each day is decay

Leaves shrivel and fall away

My arms are stark and bare

Death is dancing in the air

To pain life slaves

Through the seasons I stand brave

Hear the wind whisper he doesn’t care

The bounty of the earth’s

Harvest on my back tears

Noticing the stark trees today. I love them without their leaves. Changes the mood of the landscaping.

Wow, Marie - what a real stirring, painful poem couched in the imagery of the starkness of the approaching winter. The photo of the colorful stained glass really provides a great juxtaposition to the starkness of the poem.

Cant stand naked trees, like skelletons they stand, wont hold my hand, want to take me away to lie with roots of decay, but your poem is marvelous

Nice written! I love your poem.
Ha, I've never try to notice a tree before!
I love trees with blossom better then no leaves,
it seems too lifeless when it's bare.
'Hear the wind whisper he doesn’t care
The bounty of the earth’s
Harvest on my back tears'
I so LOVE this lines!
I love the font of your poetry,
it's very tree.. I mean nature

Sometimes they seem to sad, but their strength to endure these changes
is a wonder. How can one look at them and not see....

Your love of nature drips from the page.

A striking image of endurance... stark and bare, death dancing, harvest on my back tears
