The Girl

The Girl

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem about one's drive to thrive.

"

The Girl

She’s come undone

Her edges are frayed

And she’s been played

But they haven’t won

Lots of gumption she’s displayed

From solid persistence she’s made

Full of giggles and fun

By her people are dismayed

With her, there’s history to be made.

She’s come undone

Only to be remade.
