He Strums His Drum

Tiny drummer drums

He plays his best for The Son

Wearing old worn out rags

Aged by the sun

Yet he stands like a proud soldier

As if the war had been won

To play for his Godly Prince

Christ the King,

Our Baby Jesus

He strums on his drum

As the ebbs and flows of

His heavenly peace have begun

I love the story of the Little Drummer Boy. I have no idea what gift I would give. Maybe I'll figure that out this year.

the imagery is sweet - seeing the innocence of a mirculous baby and acknowledging the same king
