Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem of goodbyes.

"

Goodbye

Gaze at me with tender eyes

As you spread your acid lies

Watch me as I say goodbye

To the life I left behind

The one you’ll try to hide

For the rest of your

Days alive

Because I honestly tried

It’s easier for me to say goodbye

I have nothing left to hide

The first two lines were my favorite… Though I generally don't like rhymes, I like it when one or two things rhyme and it seems effortless.

Sometimes you just have to say goodbye and move one.

linear says it all..but if your intentions are pure..you have nothing to fear

It's not the saying goodbye that's the hardest part, It's the not looking back.
