Bitter Winter Winds

Cold blistery wind chills me

Winter jabs her icy knife into my ribs

Her strength and determination to defeat me is strong

She blows and blows…trying to deter me

Numb and icy are my fingers as my lips turn blue

Yet I lean into her winds, with all my might I carry on

I persue my destination and curse her as I do

She’s a frigid b***h and I won’t let her win

Even if I have to sin to beat her

Author's Note

Marie Harrison
I have to admit, I hate being cold all over. I used to hate the frigid winter wind that was like knives going through me. It's not as cold where I live now. The icy winds go to me more than anything. I don't miss them at all.

Strong and powerful, and if read or meant as a metaphor, I know a b***h just like that. LOL
It is very hard to stay warm under such elements.

Loved the photo.... and I agree... I hate feeling cold but I find the cold bracing - especially to get in the warm afterwards!
