Dream Reflections

A poem about about falling asleep.

Dream Reflections

So drained,

I feel like a trained monkey

Who is paid to dance

I can't wait for

The chance to sleep

If it doesn't

Happen soon

Grim reaper might come

Knocking at my door

When I fall asleep

 Driving home

I shall visit the moors of

Ancient fairies and

Hills of enchantment,

Once my curly head lands

On my feather pillow

I might dream of lazy days

Laying under a weeping willow tree

After taking a long dip in a cool

Stream on a hot summer day

Who knows where my

Subconscious might take me,

Good thing my

Admission will be free,

Because I don't have a

Penny on me currently

Time is ticking so swiftly

 These trying days,

I must say goodbye,

Before I drift off to

Dreamland too suddenly

Goodnight

Wow! Sleeping is an awesome, free of charge, surreal adventure. Great poem. Love the image! 100

To sleep, perchance to dream

I'm reading this at work and it makes me long for my bed more than I already do. Nicely written Marie.

In dreams we can visit far away places, meet princes and princesses, and it dont cost a dime.

Very good! Good flow and meter.

I suffer from insomnia a lot and can really relate to this! I love sleep and love my vivid dreams...when they come. Have nearly fallen asleep at the wheel a couple of times...but thankfully haven't.

This was a fantastic scribe of well woven words! I loved the part about admission being free and not having the penny! Each stanza blossomed with rich and full images that embraced the reader smoothly.

Great Write!
