The Poison of the Widow Spider

The yearning need to be wrapped in her web

His desire for her is overwhelming, it never ebbs

He takes her, so she’ll have future eggs

Then she kisses him right before she eats his head

I adore this. The rhyme and rhythm are perfect and the satire is glorious. So funny! I hate spiders but I enjoyed this deeply. Thanks for entering it in my contest, although this is not tragicomedy. Tragicomedy are funny throughout the plot but end tragically, not humorously. The humor is found in the beginning and center of the text but it always end on a tragic note. You simply had it reversed. But wonderful poem on its own, I really enjoyed it!
