Tonight I GrieveA Poem by Marie HarrisonA poem about the painful process of grief.
Tonight I Grieve There’s a hole in my heart tonight It’s burning within my soul It’s dark and heavy where it rests there’s no light My soul tonight is so low, Nothing glows where it grows. Drowning in a deep torrent of grief One where there no sign of relief I yearn to be with a life that was too brief To me death now has mystique To one day join the one I love I must have faith and believe. Until then I’ll remain behind in disbelief Time was too short for us, too hard to keep Now I cherish what I had and yearn to make the Most of what I have because in God I believe. I look up to the Lord even when I grieve. © 2010 Marie HarrisonAuthor's Note
