Glow

Glow

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem about a girl becoming a woman.

Glow

Look at me!

My body’s

Fresh, new

And shapely too!

Watch me bloom

Like a wild red rose,

Watch my character

And confidence

     grow,

          grow

             and grow

As I become a

Glowing beautiful woman

That everyone wants

To know.

Watch my life take

Flight to places

That are unknown.

The world’s my

Open book,

Now let me

Start my

Amazing story!

I’m ready

To go,

Watch me glow.

ok, so from the yin side of yang, and having had the pleasure to deal with two of the most precious of all teenage girls in the world, in my heart..I can relate to this write..Other than that, the glow is that of light reflecting from my shaved head

That seems along time ago! And even then I felt like an ugly duckling! How beautiful to remind those young girls this is their time to shine, and appreciate the beauty of womanhood.........looking back it was exciting, but you never appreciate going through it at the time......lovely.

its a wise poem
we can look back and try to share our wisdom with teens
but because we were teens
we once thought we knew everything
it really was our time to glow :)
