Lavender Fields of San Juan

Lavender Fields of San Juan

Lavender Fields of San Juan

Lavender fields cover
the rolling San Juan Islands,
perfect place to go to recover
from the worries of the world.

The perfect place to twirl
around and feel like a girl again,
as herds of cows wander around grazing
on the fresh mounds of lavender.

The salty ocean air mixes
with the fresh floral fragrant
scent of wild lavender instantly
boosts your moral.

If you keep a watchful
eye on the carefree ocean's bay
you'll likely see the
whales frolic and play
with the silver dolphins
who flirt and taunt them.

What a glorious picture you've painted with your words .. I'm off to buy a ticket right now!

Lavender, the perfume of inner calm, the touching of somewhere distant yet accessible - almost a touch of The Lotus Eaters and the way of life in wonderful colours, scents and .. whatever.

TAO
Now, this is a remarkable piece of work, Ms. Harrison, and it's not only because lavender is my favorite color, and the aroma I favor. I can almost smell it now, reading this poem, and now I want to go to San Juan. I guess I ought to save up my money; if the lavender fields are anything like this work suggests, I may just decide to stay. Very well done, Ms.
