Wings To FlyA Poem by Marie HarrisonA dream poem about finding encouragement through nature's wings.
Wings To Fly My heart awakens my sleepy soul Skipping down the rolling and Mounting piedmonts of love, My emotions have no control As the day grows bright and the sun rises I see an eagle soar spreading His mighty wings out
My spirit frolics aimlessly as I hear the chirping lullaby Of the mockingbird swirled With the sweetly cooing doves. My mind unlocks it's padlocked doors As I twirl about and dance Around with unabashed joy. Seeking deep comtemplation I Stop to rest in a soft bed Of green clover to peer at the Heavenly clouds above. In a serene state of peace Watching a bluebird chase Another but suddenly Changing routes. My curiosity is stirred, Judging by their fluid and Merry movements those Two are in love. In deep appreciation, At that moment I Wished that I could be As brave as them instead Of being so coy.
