lol... I remembered my days as batman, chasing cares on the Air Force Base my father worked at, my brother and sister trailing behind wondering why I thought everyday was halloween. Memories. I like poetry that reminds me.
This is...(forgive me)...cute. A billion thanx for the smile.
This is a very fun yet spooky poem. A bat flying about the room. I had that happen to me once when I was sleeping in an upstairs room with the windows open because it was so hot. The bat came in a circled the room a bunch of times. I could feel it passing above me. I was too tired to get up and try to get it out. It eventually found its own way out, thankfully. I could see it in the shadowy dark circling the room.
Ah yes, right in keeping with all hallowed creepy season... up to bat. I liked it and it's a playful nasty interlude, this intrusion on Mom's fitful slumber. Even if bats on the whole, have a bad rap... I would think Mom, in getting Uncle. Would have got bat rapped it on the head till dead. Better that the car proved a safe haven. Nicely told this happenstance, as if Mom, had stay in the batroom... that bat, might have morphed and that would've been the end of Mom. heh heh! (or undead beginnings)
I would have like to be the bat on the wall... for that one! (drool dribble) lol

I was never afraid of bats even as a kid. Was only worried they'd get tangled in my hair if they dove to close. I remember my brother shooting one when I was a kid so I got to see it up close. I thought it was cute and was sad that he shot it. Not sure why he did since we knew they helped keep down the mosquito population. Now THOSE make me head for cover. It doesn't matter how much 'OFF' I spray on myself, they still have me for dinner.
