![]() I Am Mt. VesuviusA Poem by Marie Harrison![]() A poem about cutting.![]()
I’m Mt. Vesuvius Tensions are rising as a Brewing volcano that’s Boiling and ready to blow. My rollercoaster emotions Are too much For me to hold, My soul is tied up In a tight knot. I can’t move, I can’t sleep, I can’t do anything. I just need a little Relief, so that I can breathe. This festering wound Deep inside of me Is ready to seethe, That’s why I cut, So I can bleed. © 2010 Marie HarrisonAuthor's Note
