The Quest For Eternal Youth

The Quest For Eternal Youth

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

Adventure always takes us to our youth. This poem is about finding your youth.

"

“The Quest For Eternal Youth”

Winding white river waters thrust

And lick at the barge tonight

As the silvery moon shines

                                   Down guiding our way.

Who knows what pioneering

Adventures of the West we’ll find

What fertile dark soils we’ll claim

Or sparkly veins of silver we’ll mine.

Some of us will perish at the

angry hands of strangers

Others of us will flourish

By the blessings of the Lord.

We’re on a mission to find

The bright streets of gold

To claim as our home

And fountain of bubbly cool water

That we were told

Would maintain our

Youth for eternity.

This is nice. I've never understood the quest for eternal youth. I think aging is what makes life interesting.
