A Place To Be Genuine And TrueA Poem by Marie HarrisonA fantasy place that could happen in life.A Place To Be Genuine And True Look up high in the sky that’s swirled with downy Puffs of pink, blue and apricot cotton candy. Down below where the free and the happy roam, Their golden roads stretch as far as the eye can see. Where cars never hit dogs and wars are games Played in the bright sparkling aqua blue swimming pools. Where there are no rules or Limits to how much fun you can have In days, minutes or seconds. A place where laughter is Encouraged and frowns are frowned upon. A place where your imagination Can soar as high as it wants to There are no limits to conform to, But boredom never sets in either. A place where you can hold Someone’s hand without committing a sin And even grin as much as You wish to, or at Least until you turn blue. It’s a place where you can be Genuine and true without being rude A place where black crude isn’t needed. Maybe we can succeed by Pretending that this place exists here, That the seeds of truth and Being genuine have already been planted. © 2010 Marie HarrisonAuthor's Note
