To Thrive Or Survive?

To Thrive Or Survive?

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem questioning one's worth.

"

To Thrive or Survive?

The cool rain showers of

Summer continue to fall

As I walk these furry dogs.

I think of all the miles

I’ve crossed, how much

Time I’ve logged in my car,

Facing danger at every

Corner I turn or every

Intersection I cross.

Will I be appreciated, loved

And remembered fondly

by all of my many clients,

Or will I disappear from

Their minds once our

Time is cut short?

Will my time be worth

The cost to just survive

Or could I have thrived

Driving somewhere else?

What is my precious time worth?

Depends on your commission I reckon. Interesting piece, good job!
Don't forget to watch for motorcycles.

Nice sentiment. I enjoyed the reflection and discovery of inner self.
