My Own DecayA Poem by Marie HarrisonA poem about escaping. My Own Decay The art of losing yourself I think I've mastered, every day I feel further and further away. My thoughts, my actions, my satisfactions and my reactions are further off the bay. In the wind I can smell the coconut oil and when I close my eyes, I hear the palms sway. I'm running farther and farther from my roots, how far will I run to avoid my own decay?
