Lean Times

Lean Times

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A humorous limerick poem about hard economic times.

"

Lean Times

When times are lean and mean I have to conserve

I rely on pocket change in reserve

Like pennies, dimes and quarters

Times like these I might loiter

Anything to fill my tank and preserve

This is the first limerick I've ever written. I'm trying to branch out and try new forms of poetry. This poem is about lean financial times.
