New Birth

 

My world is opening up

to be something bold and new,

 

Like a big white magnolia blossom

it's fragrant and blooming.

 

How could something brilliant and special come

 from tragedy and feelings of blue?

 

All this time I thought

my own blood and carnage was looming.
