Hurricane BallerinaA Poem by Marie HarrisonA dance poem.Hurricane Ballerina As lightening shone and thunder blue I danced the dance that dancers do. With the spin of my pink tutu, And the twist of my long legs I danced with great courage As any ballerina caught in A hurricane would do. I soared with my heart, leaped with my legs waved my arms With the grace Of an eagle in flight, As the waves of the Hurricane shook And through me Into the air Without a care. © 2010 Marie Harrison |
