My Thoughts Of YouA Poem by Marie HarrisonA poem about desireMy Thoughts Of You
How can I have you when you belong to another?
My heart says it's wrong, but my body says forget about it, what's done is done.
That relationship is wrung out already!
How can I run you out of me? How far will I have to run to flee from you, to be free from you?
When all I can think about is you embracing me.
My mind soars when I think about you. My body roars with delight with the thought of your hands touching me. How great that would be!
But what prize would I have won?
This isn't the first time you've run out on her. I could be the next one you run out on.
Knowing that is my dark place where no sun exists.
Life's no fun living like this, maybe it's better to just be alone.
