Tap ShoesA Poem by Marie HarrisonA dance poem.TAP SHOES Black platform, mary janes with taps on the ball and the heel. Across many stages they have peeled. Many tall orders they have filled. The cards have been dealt, as she kneels down to pray, with her dancing shoes only feet away. Maybe the day will come again, when she dusts them off, as the music begins to play. Her feet come alive as they jive to the beat with her favorite tap shoes. © 2010 Marie Harrison |
