Mirrors

Mirrors

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A reflective poem about mirrors.

MIRRORS

Mirrors reflect my body,

not my intellect.

Select few take the

time to get to know me

and meet and greet my mind.

They just like what they see,

and assume they know me.

I understand this all to well. Sometimes to only feel seen for your body, is somehow easier. God I hate that. Nice poem!

Very simple, but a great poem. Maybe you should develop the idea of what they see that isn't true, or the other way round. Or you could use it as an extended metaphor...
