French Twist

Hearing lovers kiss and talk,

as the gentle night wind of spring blows by.

Drinking coffee and writing poetry tastes tepid

compared to what they have on their plate.

If only we could switch positions,

they could drink French roast

from a french press ,

and I’ll french kiss a hot guy

and talk his ear off.

I can relate to this poem (well minus wanting to make out with the hot guy.) Sometimes I'd rather live the poem than write it.
