You, always.

You, always.

A Poem by ashley
"

I'm sure you've felt this way before.

"

There you are again, behind my lids

as I close my eyes.

There's your song again, in the silence

when i'm alone.

There's your scent again, I sniff flowers

but I breathe you in.

You are always in my head.

Whenever I put my thoughts onto paper,

you spill out instead.

You are always in my head.

It's a shame that this hasn't been reviewed a few more times. Writing poetry about feelings is always a hard topic to take on without it sounding contrived and a shade cliched! You manage to do that with this piece by keeping it really simple!

Lovely little poem I've read it quite a few times!

Haven't we all at one time or another. "There's your song again, in the silence when I'm alone" is a good line. Consumed in love is surely like being in a kind of cage isn't it? No matter how hard you try you can't get out. Well done.
