Exaggerating the meaning of Emotions in Our Life - Bollywood

Exaggerating the meaning of Emotions in Our Life - Bollywood

A Story by Chhawi

How many of you have seen any Bollywood movie and think dude that's my life in front of me, they totally nailed it in expressing what i had felt. I know a lot of us have. And honestly I am the topper of that list. In every movie I see my past my present and sometimes I plan my future after watching a movie. Just the other day I was talking to someone and I said "I want to be MASTANI" or something like "1 tarfa pyar ki taaqat tum ni smjhoge ye baki rishto ki tarah 2 hisso me nahi batta. Ispe sirf mera haq hai."
My friends, my family and all my closed ones know how crazy I am for Bollywood movies. I never go out for a movie with a person who can distract me. I love to cry during the movie, laugh with them, get angry sometimes. Basically when I am watching a Bollywood movie, i am not just watching it i am reliving my life's events.

But as much as I love watching Bollywood movie. I know for the fact that they have exaggerated the word EMOTIONS. Movies are obviously not the reason for it, the reason is we always need something or someone to make us understand how we are feeling or who we really are. We are most of the time are not aware of what are we feeling and why. When we watch any movie and feel the same thing again and again it makes us believe that its you who are being portrayed in the movie. Partially true but also false.

There isn't so much drama in real life, we create half of it just in our head because we start expecting the things the way its shown in any movie. No body can wait for you for their whole life knowing there is no HOPE. Guess what your life isn't a movie, yes broken heart hurts but you simply can't take those pieces in your hands and cry for the rest of your life. You have to get up, wipe your own tears and move on because honestly there are a lot of people you have in your life to care about. And the one who expects their life to be perfect just as it is shown in movies according to them, just so you know life isn't fair it will never be you just have to let go few of your expectation because somewhere someone must have expected something from you but you weren't ready to give. You have to let go the illusion of control.

Love breakups family and friendship all are just a part of your life, YOUR LIFE. If you are not happy then there isn't any point of having these in your life. Love is not only about marrying someone and be happy for rest of your life its something more than that something you can learn in real life and not from movie. Breakups are horrible, we all must have had one breakup song but our life is way more valuable than that song. You have got to find another way to define emotions than defining it the way it is defined in the movie. Movies are just for entertaining us, nothing more nothing less. It's you who needs to cool down first and then think "Is this feeling for real or its just the exaggeration of what you felt within a short moment?"

Everyone has some tallent and skills and now you know yours :) Your writings are in simple words yet connected with every reader. Like everyone somehow connects with movies, I think everyone connects with your article also, atleast I do. May be cause you don't make up things to write but write what actually you are feeling. Love reading your articles. Keep writing, and I would love to keep reading :)

Haha..quite a different topic Chhawi..
Bt yes u r right we generally do not know what are we feeling & why but when we find the same in the movies, we connect ourselves with that and start portraying ourselves in dat scenario.

As you said "Shifu - U must let go
Off the illusions of control" quite fits here.. We must understand that life will not always move as we expect it to be.

There are always highs n lows.. the less we will expect and d less we will crib about things..the more happy we all will be.
