Me and You

I love the ocean

I think I can spend all my days there

Hoping to love more deeply, be wild and careless; and remembering who I am

Because we do not have forever, and nothing is guaranteed

So just spend a little time away

To be beautiful and not fade to grey

To be free and love endlessly

Away Away, Away from today. Because tomorrow is more beautiful.

And once more I find peace in the midst of forgetting time.

I think we all need special places to get away to. I find being near the river or ocean can give me a different perspective. I find water calming, even though it can be troubled. I know it won't be for long. A lovely poem Cheyenne. Finding a place of peace is something we should all aim for.

A beautifully hopeful poem. One that resonates with me because I'm about 12 miles away from the ocean. Despite that I don't often get the chance to go and see it. Which is a shame because I take that chance of seeing true beauty for granted, and I end up fooling myself into believing I will have plenty of time to go there. It becomes a regret of mine.
