A Story by cheyenne s garcia

You are patient and kind with your words.
but as you blink,
the world keeps spinning.
and you think, for a moment
that everything amounts to nothing.
and in the end you are the same.

you pick up a rock and throwing it across the yard you realize
the people we are,
inside
deeply and effortlessly
crying
you decide to fly.
sing and dance and cry
i am good at all those things.

once more i am alone, looking back in a mirror reflected off the moon.
i wipe my tears.
bravery is here.

This offering describes the speaker's inner turmoil, something that is not reconciled by the end of the work. There is the sense that life is a dead end. The last verse reflect a feeling of loneliness, but I don't believe the speaker is yet ready to give up on all of it. Things can and do change.

A very deep poem of reflection, I especially like the end, "reflected off the moon.
i wipe my tears.
bravery is here."
Well done, and sweet dreams tonight. :)

The world is surely spinning out of control now and it sets your mind in a tizzy... we are kind people as human beings and although we feel like being brave, we should remember that what's inside really matters.

Courage isn't the loud roaring of lions. Lions roar because it is their nature and nothing more. Courage is very often only a whisper from one, who once before, might have remained silent. I enjoyed the read,

not a problem
I liked the below words dear Cheyenne.
"the world keeps spinning.

that everything amounts to nothing.

The world can get twisted and I believe. We land where we supposed to be. The spinning world is always teaching us. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
