chapter one

this is the part where she meets him and gets attacked

   'Beep beep beep beep.' Morgan's dream was suddenly interrupted by the sound of her alarm clock. She reached over and shut it off. Muttering to herself, she got up and went to her closet. "I have got to stop letting Kimberly pick out my clothes," Morgan said as she held up a skimpy dress in front of the mirror.
    She finally decided on a purple blouse that made her eyes pop and a pair of dress slacks. She hopped in the shower then quickly got dressed. Standing in front of her mirror, Morgan brushed her long, silky black hair and applied her make-up. She looked at her pale skin with disgust. "Why can't I be tan like Kimberly?" she said to herself.
    Morgan looked at the clock on her nightstand and shrieked. She grabbed her camera and her purse and ran out the door. She jumped in her car and headed off to work. Morgan is a photographer for a fashion magazine. Nothing like seeing size two girls posing for her all day to make a girl feel great about herself.
    She parked her car and headed for her office.She waved to her assistant on her way by his desk. He gave her his best smile and went back to typing. Morgan sat at her desk and picked up the note that was sitting there. It read:

    Dear Morgan,
I thought maybe we could go out for drinks after work tonight.
        -Love your assistant, Peter

    Morgan sighed and thought, 'that boy has got to stop crushing on me.' She checked her email then grabbed her camera. She walked over to her assistant's desk.
     "I have clients all day so if someone calls for me please take a message," she said.
     "Okay," Peter said smiling at her.
     Morgan walked away shaking her head. She didn't know how to tell Peter she wasn't interested.She walked into her studio to photograph her first client and stopped dead in her tracks.

    Adam was standing there playing with his cell phone. He looked up when he heard someone come in. He was left staring at the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She had silky black hair and dark green eyes. He noticed that her blouse was a deep purple that made her eyes pop and hugged her body perfectly. He finally found his voice and spoke.
     "Hi my names Adam. I'm supposed to be on the cover of the magazine this month."
      "Hi Adam. My names Morgan and I'm the photographer."
      He was surprised that he hadn't noticed the camera before. Adam was usually very observant of everything around him. But for some reason all he could focus on was Morgan. She opened her shiny pink mouth and broke through his thoughts.
     "How about we get started?" she said.
     "Yeah, that's a good idea," he said. He posed several times and then he got ready to leave. It took him forever because he was too busy watching Morgan move around the studio. He finally left the studio wondering if she had a boyfriend.

    Morgan had a lot more clients but she hardly noticed their appearances. She was too busy thinking about the man named Adam with the sea green eyes. She mentally kicked herself for acting so dumb when she saw him. He was just another stupid model that liked to mess with a bunch of women.
    But still, she couldn't help wondering if he was different while she went to her office to get her stuff. She was going to meet Kimberly at the club where Kimberly worked. Kimberly is a stripper but she is actually a great friend and isn't a s**t.
    Morgan got in her car and drove home. She needed to change into something more dressy for the club. She ended up wearing a sea green short dress that reminded her of Adam's eyes. She left for the club and to meet up with Kimberly.

   Adam was in his penthouse apartment when he got the vision. In the vision, the beautiful woman he met earlier was being attacked outside one of his favorite clubs. He came back from the vision with a gasp and ran for his cell phone. He dialed his best friend's number and waited for him to pick up.
    Christopher answered on the fourth ring. "Hey, this is Christopher."
    "Chris this is Adam. Dress up nicely we are going out tonight."
    "Okay Adam. I'll be there in fifteen minutes to pick you up."
    "Okay bye."
    Adam hung up and went to his walk-in closet. He grabbed a dress shirt and a pair of leather pants. He wanted to look nice when he saved Morgan from whoever is going to attack her.
    Fifteen minutes later Chris is in Adam's apartment. Adam is describing his vision to Chris because Chris has always known that Adam was different.
    "That's why we have to go save her," Adam exclaimed.
    "Okay let's go," Chris says.
    Adam and Chris get in Chris's car and they head to the club.

   Morgan paid the cover charge to get into the club and slipped inside. She spots Kimberly dancing on a stage not that far away. She sits in a chair closest to the stage. She smiles when Kimberly sees her.
    When Kimberly is on break, Morgan talks to her about the model she saw today. Kimberly giggles and proceeds to tell Morgan that he sounds yummy. Morgan laughs and smiles at her best friend.
    "I'm gonna tell my boss that I'm done for the rest of the night," Kimberly says. "That way I can hang out with you."
     "Okay that sounds good to me," Morgan say grinning.
     They dance for a while then go to the bar to get a drink. Kimberly nudges Morgan and points to a really cute guy. Morgan notices he has brown eyes and short black hair. he looks relatively skinny, just the way she likes them.
     When Morgan is staring at him, he smiles and starts to walk over to her and Kimberly. He smiles at Morgan and then turns to Kimberly and completely ignores Morgan. Morgan told Kimberly she was going home but Kimberly is too busy.
    Morgan headed out to her car. She suddenly got this very uneasy feeling that someone was watching her. She was just about to get in her car when the guy grabs her and started to stab her. She started screaming.
  
    Adam was sitting in the dark when he heard her screaming. He ran to her car and chased off her attacker. He picked her up and brought her to his car.

    Morgan was lying on the ground unable to move. She could feel the blood seeping through her dress. The last thing she saw before she blacked out was Adam fighting off the attacker.

Yep. You did real sweet with this. It has a great pace to it, Real nice flow and structure, but a word of advice. You might not welcome it, but before the teen brigade move in, I'll say it. Don't be one of those writers who start a story, then leap to another idea, and another without finihsing. This has promise and a real nice idea. Stick with this. You have a good style.
