Touching Grace

Touching Grace

A Poem by Damian Alan Gray

To walk across the small hills
   and succulent valleys of your body
      is to know the wonders of the gods.

Your taste is nothing short of ambrosia,
   your mouth, the eternal spring from which

      the essence of love is created.

What wonderful task have I achieved,
   to be deserving of this beauty;
      This reward of grace?

Are you real?

Do you know the magic dormant and still,
   within your eyes;
      those wondrous gems of light?

Beauty such as yours can only be found
on the crests of Olympus.
Created to entice those of us,
who are close to Pan.

Molded by Isis,
   blessed by Aphrodite,
      beautiful nymph,
         small Goddess of light and

            sensual fury,
               take my hand.

Show me the passion of the gods;
the ancient secrets of Eros
that can only be seen
from the lofty heights of Ecstacy.

Mystical and magickal Being,
I am yours forever.

Forgive me if you don't strike me as the type to speak of Aphrodite and the nymphs in such a manner.

Show me the passion of the gods;
the ancient secrets of Eros
that can only be known
from the lofty heights of Ecstacy

with a capitol "E" and a capitol "P" for passion, I must say, this really is quite deep, Damian. Impressive.

Beautifully done. I loved the way you described her body in such an diffent way then most people would.
Really well done.

Speechles. This is truly beautiful.
Mind if I steal it? (kidding! Just kidding!)
You've got some great imagery here, very effective imagery and (the real test) it flows beautifully when spoken out loud - everyone here in the office(the 4 of us) enjoyed it and all offer kudos. Strong, excellent work.

Thanks

I remember the days when I felt this kind of intense passion and my soul would sing words like this.

There is no more intense and pleasurable sensation than that of which you have written so eloquently and gloriously here.
