Color Me RedA Poem by pearlWe will never back down.pink. His story assigned this as our hue by the way our cheeks flush when They make the first move or the tint of fear when They raise their voice at us so They painted our bodies in a subtle hint of pink just subtle, They had to stand out more They had to be the stronger pigment They had the control of the paintbrush and in Their eyes, we were perfect but the canvas changes day by day, and its tone becomes more unjust as time passes so we want different hues when a Queen with a silver crown, a Heroine with a gold belt, an Actress with brown eyes, and a Champion with a black-haired child, dared to dye with something new the saturation of the hues blinded Them so They tagged us with a different tint and everyone who was associated with it, will be dimmed, erased or locked in a tube but in Our eyes, We are progressive We refuse to let ourselves fade because of Them We have the control of Our crayons so no, They cannot color us, color me red.
