Smile

Smile

A Poem by Song in the Farmland
"

What I feel with my dad's side of the family...then my mom's side where I can truly smile

"

With them,

My smile is fake

It doesn’t mean anything at all

Even if they helped me

Care for me

Help me with everything

My smile is fake

I know it’s selfish

Crude

And mean

But I can’t help it

With the others,

My genuine laugh tinkles through the air every moment

They make my smile turn into a grin from ear to ear

They don’t really do much,

But give me company

Maybe that’s all a lonely girl needs

With them,

I’ve never been too comfortable

Never loosen up

Always been tide up too tight

With the others,

I’ve been way too comfortable

So wild

Off the leash

I don’t mean to be two different people

But they’re two too different families

It’s not the same
