A day moon. January 5thA Story by EliseI wouldn't call these stories, I'm not sure what I'd call them. I have a book called the writers book of days, every day it gives you a different topic. So here is the first of many short pieces.Behind my glasses the sun is dimmed like a moon in the day. The brightness intensifies I unflinchingly stare back. Cold sweat runs down my back.
I breath, I sigh, I hum. The day moon glares down on me angrily, beating the heat into me. I step back once, twice, three times. I close the door and pull the blind. I remove my glasses, I slink down the wall, I look back I still feel the heat. The unyielding day moon. © 2016 Elise |
