A Poem by Chelsea
"

All about those "magazines" with the girls with the perfect faces.

"

Magazines

Sit upon wire racks, you do

A beautiful face stares at me

Her face, without any flaws

Makes me look at mine

Full of flaws

This poem is dedicated to young girls or anybody who shares this opinion. I know how I feel when I look at all those magazines, worthless. I don’t feel like I’m worth anything when I see their flawless faces. But I know, that it’s all faked. They fake it using programs like Photoshop, etc. So they don’t actually look like that but still, I feel badly about the way I look.
Also I chose a picture of a model from the makeup company covergirl. Just showing how perfect they look!

Good topic! We all have flaws.

Totally. It's hard. As long as you keep reminding yourself that it's fake and remember the most beautiful features about you, you'll be fine!

Oh those faces staring back, telling us we aren't good enough! But I have found that just as you overlook supposed "flaws" in guys you like, guess what? They too overlook or don't see the flaws, and another thing I learned is that the things I thought were flaws, the opposite sex, really kind of likes!

Don't look at the girls - they really don't exist!

Good poem of that nasty little social pressure magazines engender...

I've been thinking about whether it's a good thing that girls are photoshopped in magazines. I think it is, because it reminds others that celebrities aren't so perfect themselves, and that they have flaws too. I've favourited this poem.

Real people don't need to be re-done to be perfect. I believe our flaws make us special and the only one. You said it all in this short poem. A excellent poem.
