What Happened?

What Happened?

A Poem by Chelsea
"

The world, good. The apple, turning all sour.

"

What Happened?

The world, a globe, once revolving upon good

Yet humanity seems to strive upon evil

What happened?

Oh right, the apple

This poem just came to me. I think the first three lines are pretty straightforward. The third line however, a bit of a tricky one. My religion, Christianity believes that evil started when Adam and Eve ate an apple from the tree of evil. It’s hard to explain, so here’s a link.

That should help. Please review!

Wonderful. The apple was the beginning of everything. Your poem reminded me of many stories, like Helen of Troy and the golden apple. And you also reminded me of a recent piece of mine. Check it out: http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Wella%20D./1011810/

Great glimpse at the very beginning of all that went wrong.

I don't blame the apple. United Nation was create to stop war. The USA was told to not attack Iraq by the United Nation. Did the USA listen? Ain't the Devil causing the problems. Wealth and power allow the Devil to retire. A powerful poem. Open the door to many questions.

I believe in Pandora's Box...she created or rather introduced evil.:PPPP
And it was the same thing really; Damned curiosity killed the cat. And the rest of the human race..lol..
No comments on the poem...it isn't a poem. *shrug* Any rating would only discourage you, so allow me to skip it.:)

Just don't eat from that tree. You have the whole garden of Eden, but yet you choose to go agnaist the Lord's wishes?!. It doesnt make sense to me when the Lord provided but Adam and Eve just did their own thing and didnt care about the consquences. Thats why I think people are getting worse, we arent thinking about the consquences of our actions, and if we are thinking about them, then we arent caring. Nice write! I enjoyed and made me think of Adam and Eve. And Sin in general. Thanks! Have a great night.

I love the last line in this poem. It sums up the poem with a punch.
