A poem about cows

Cattle

Cows graze in the pasture

Chewing upon the grass

You know, you’re kind of cute

As I sit in my leather chair

Haha! I actually laughed.

Words that immediately pop into my head: "humorously morbid." Though short, the structure allows the reader to analyze the tone of the narrator. The first two lines are very forward and descriptive; observational. The third line is almost playful, and I see a smirk slither onto the narrator's face. Then the last line really brings in the irony. Well done.

Omg...the cruelity in the last two lines. Great piece! Human beings can be monsters inside.

Sitting on a leather chair. Animals are our food and clothing in some cases. I wonder what does a cow think about us? A interesting poem.

I think Truman says it best - what a great, sardonic little write!

The woman is saying the cows are cute for their skin that she will have for her next leather chair or jacket even. Nice poem!

this is a good poem. I'm not really sure if everybody realizes what cows go through for them to eat meat or to sit on a leather chair. (that may sound silly but it's not,) and you have a perfect way of putting the irony in there!
